Ben is currently a high school physical education and health teacher near Eugene, Oregon. Ben was a three-sport athlete in high school, excelling in baseball where he was a three time All-PAC-10 Conference Infielder and was Golden Glove All-American in 1988 for Oregon State University. Drafted in the 29th Round of the 1990 MLB Draft by the Pirates Organization, he enjoyed a brief minor league career before embarking on a successfull coaching career. He is currently an Associate Scout for the Kansas City Royals Organization as well as running his own college football website.
